Elaine Bolt Showcase

We are delighted to announce our latest showcase featuring Elaine Bolt, a ceramic artist from East Sussex who’s work is inspired by her surroundings within the Chalk and Flint hills of Sussex. This body of work includes a mixture of hand-built and thrown Vessels in Porcelain, many of which are left unglazed to reveal and celebrate the beauty of the material and each unique form. Porcelain twigs balance delicately on the rims of some of the vessels, others are finished with copper handles or left as intricate solely porcelain vessels.

“I throw on the wheel, the pieces are often left unglazed to reveal the soft porcelain surface. Porcelain twigs balance delicately on the rims of some of the vessels, or simple porcelain or copper handles are used to finish the pieces.”
