The bottles, pods and teardrops are about colour and form. They work well individually and in groups. My ideal is for them to be seen as a 3-dimensional still life that, when viewed from different angles, create new relationships between the pieces. Even differing light can subtly change their appearance and sometimes create luminosity around their silhouette, emphasizing the slight translucency of the porcelain. Every piece is a challenge to make as porcelain is such a fluid medium on the wheel. I can throw up to six pieces a day but rarely, if ever, do all six survive the making and firing processes. On average, three will make it to their final destination.
