I aim to combine simple industrial design with traditional craft skill. My work is inspired my ancient Chinese ceramics and technology. I cut the thrown porcelain body into several parts, fold it, reform it and join it with slip. The slip squeezes out of the join giving a strong line which contrasts the smooth surface.
