Simple, delicate pots are created as individual pieces or as part of a group. The vessels are thrown on the wheel followed by the addition of handles to some. The fragile and irregular rims and handles create fine lines and markings, which attract and hold the eye. "These lines, along with those created by light reflection or shadows, are an important consideration for me."
The porcelain pieces are glazed with a white satin glaze, which has an intriguing, sugary quality that enriches the pieces. The coloured glazes on the stoneware work have been developed and chosen for the way their surface qualities, as well as colours, work together.
