The main theme, which runs through my work, is the form of the tube. By using unit construction methods I have assembled tubes into necklaces and rings, to give forms which are flexible, tactile, durable, and comfortable to wear. The jewellery is intended to be worn for both everyday wear and special occasions. The jewellery is all handcrafted at the bench, giving each piece a certain quality. The main material used is silver, sometimes combined with gold and semi-precious stones. The influence for this work comes mainly from ancient beads and jewellery, which I studied, on a recent trip to Morocco.
