MAKERS & MUSEUMS TOUR KOREA

A celebration of Korean Craft, Design & Architecture

Think Samsung, kimchi and endless vistas of spiralling skyscrapers and you are likely to picture Seoul – South Korea’s modern city.  But there is much more to Korea than its booming capital.  Join Flow gallery director, Yvonna Demczynska and cultural voyager, Cathy Giangrande and discover for yourself why Korea is currently not only one of the hottest destinations in Asia, but also renown for showcasing its country’s traditional beauty in craftworks.

We take you to studios of emerging crafts artists in Seoul, to the ceramic village of Ischeon, to Gangjin and the Mokpo Ceramic Museum, and to cities rarely visited to see hidden gardens, temples and national parks bursting with beauty.  Together with leading Korean historians and artisans we have created an itinerary, which will surprise, inspire and challenge your perceptions of this fascinating culture that is a truly a fusion of tradition and modernism.
