flow gallery

SOFA CHICAGO, November 7-9 2014

Flow gallery is delighted to be returning to SOFA Chicago for the third time to re-establish contact with the wide range of collectors it has made in the past and to be introduced to new faces interested in European contemporary craft. Our aesthetic is a mix of Scandinavian and Japanese Crafts which we believe share similar characteristics. Akiko Hirai has gained a big following at the first show we participated with her Moon Jars. We will be introducing Hirai’s installations of stoneware vessels inspired by Morandi Paintings. Maija Ulla Vikman from Finland will be showing in Chicago for the first time her amazing textile wall pieces reminiscent of snowy Finnish landscapes. Amongst other exhibiting artists we will feature, Henk Wolvers with his beautiful porcelain vessels, Malcolm Martin and Gaynor Dowling’s wooden vessels and Ed Byrne’s glass sculptures. Claire Brewster’s vintage map cutouts will complete flow’s presentation.
