Helen’s earlier work was shaped in part by the structures and surfaces of the architecture along the \u003cspan class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"whitespace-normal\"\u003eRiver Thames\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e, and these new pieces begin to reflect something of her rural surroundings.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"997\" data-end=\"1374\"\u003eThis collection brings together vitreous enamel, copper gauze and steel wire in compositions with an increasing softness and layering of transparencies. Crumpled copper shim and gauze have the feeling of fabric. Shapes don't feel finally fixed and textures seem to still be settling.
