THE TACTILE HOME
A curation in ceramic, enamelled metal & Reed

Set against the tactile backdrop of timber, concrete and brick, this collection explores craft rooted in materiality. Ceramics, woven fibres and enamelled metal in muted tones, coexist gently.
Photographed in the calm of a collector’s London home, generously opened up to us, objects are placed within the rhythms of a lived space - near a window, beside a chair, under the shifting light of midsummer.
This domestic environment brings something to the work, expressing how handmade objects can be activated within a home. Light moves across surfaces, shadows stretch and contract, textures and colours respond to their surroundings.
The study expresses how handmade pieces are made to be lived with and seen anew each day.
The curation includes :
- Sculptures by Swedish ceramicist Maria Kristofersson
- Enamelled metal sculptures by British artist Helen Carnac

The collection is now available to view online and at the Gallery.
“Proximity, distance and conditions. Lines, surfaces, textures, colours and denominations should be mentioned in this context. They are important. I see them as tools to find my expressions and stories. The clay provides both guidance and resistance."
- Maria Kristofersson
