I hand build large, natural and organic stoneware vessels. They have a weathered and sensuous surface with semi-transparent layers of slips, glazes and oxides. My objects have the Earth's subdued colours and an expression that is powerful, rough and refined. They also often radiate a meditative, calm presence. My inspiration is Nature; its geological processes, sea life, plants, fungi, different sorts of micro-universes. Through my work, I connect deeper and deeper with the landscape of Bornholm - the island where I live.
