Opening January 28th 2026, Flow is pleased to announce our first solo show by South Korean Ceramic Artist ShinHyeok Ha.

 

Growing up in Korea, where mountains are visible almost everywhere, ShinHyeok developed a sensitivity to nature’s rhythms. He recalls spending long hours gazing at distant ridgelines, observing mist drifting across the peaks, water seeping into the earth and subtle shifts in light and colour. These experiences gradually drew him toward clay - a material that felt inseparable from the landscape.

For ShinHyeok, working with clay is a meditative process in which time, movement, and touch converge. His vessels, built slowly by hand through layered coiling, echo the depth and spatial sensibility of East Asian landscape painting. The resulting surfaces retain the traces of their making, like brushstrokes or sedimented time.
