RUACH - Breath, Wind, Spirit
Opening 13 November 2025, Flow Gallery is pleased to announce Ruach - Breath, Wind, Spirit; an exhibition of new work by JAEJUN LEE.
JaeJun works in porcelain, finding beauty in purity and the line of a simple form. His vessels are rooted in the tradition of Korean ceramics, with shapes gently evolving from the form of the moon jar.
The discipline of his making finds balance in the energy and unpredictability of chance. Fired at high temperatures, celadon glaze flows and gathers around his vessels with its own will, and red grains scatter.
“It’s the balance between intention and surprise that keeps the work alive for me.”
The title, Ruach, meaning breath or spirit, reflects this life that emerges through making.
JaeJun is greatly influenced by Lucie Rie, who valued harmony between her work and the environment it inhabits. This can be felt in the presence of his pieces and their ability to inspire a sense of calm in a space.
“I wish for people to simply observe and feel - to connect with the work through quiet contemplation.”
Join us to experience the serene stillness of his work at Flow.

Capturing Stillness, by JaeJun Lee and Hayley McCrirrick
‘Capturing Stillness’ is an exhibition of porcelain objects and dyed textiles. The exhibition showcases South Korean Ceramicist JaeJun Lee and Scottish Artist Hayley McCrirrick. Both artists capture a stillness through a refined palette and materials. They are led by their making process, allowing the repetition of core techniques to embody their intuition. The refinement of their processes showcases an exhibition that captures a tranquil and welcoming stillness to the gallery.
