Konrad Koppold creates thin-walled vessels in native woods, particularly oak, exploring the balance between form and surface.

Having studied design and worked as an Interior Designer, his artistic approach extends beyond traditional craftsmanship, weaving a precise, architectural formal language together with the wood’s vibrant, inherent character.

Working with asymmetrical shapes turned on different axes, he brings a sense of movement and tension to the minimalism of his designs. Heavily brushed surfaces reveal the grain and living structure of the wood, while natural tannins create subtle variations in the colour.
