Working with foraged clays, stones, fossils and glacial debris from Minnesota, Mitch uses natural materials to explore the geological and climatic events that have shaped the landscape. 

Working across vessel, sculpture and installation, Mitch’s work brings together geological research and a contemporary approach to ceramics, allowing the intrinsic qualities of each material to guide the making process.
