Tetsuo Nakamura's work is driven by apperication for the combinatino of the texture of natural materilas and curved, organic forms. 

In his design process, he places value not only on the aesthetic appearance of the tableware but also on usability in daily life.

"I use the clay that is blended primarily with unrefined materials to retain its natural roughness and allow the iron content to emerge in the texture and appearance of the final pieces."
